I used the Felicity collection for my first layout...
I knew immediately that I wanted to cut out a bunch of houses from that beautiful patterned paper and scatter them around my page in little groups. After I layered several of the houses together, I stitched them to my background card stock using my sewing machine. I finished them off by adding a few embellishments such as the sequin studio puffs and a couple of color block wood stickers.
I wrote my journaling on a small die cut tag and layered it under the left photo on my page. I also placed a die cut banner above that same photo for another layer of dimension.
I cut out my title "magical gift" using my Silhouette and layered it under the photo on the right and placed two sequin puffs about the "i's" for a more whimsical feel.
And for my second layout, I used items from the gorgeous Life Noted collection...
I had fun utilizing lots of the bright colors that make up the Life Noted collection! I started with cutting out a large gemstone shape from my Silhouette and placing the negative image on top of a pinkish-red piece of card stock.
After I added some stitching around the gemstone, I layered the "Awesome" journaling card (that I altered with a little aqua paint) and a piece of patterned paper from the collection under the photo of me and my daughter. I placed one of the acetate die cut words to the right of my photo and stitched it to my page using my sewing machine.
I hand-cut several of the gemstone shapes from another piece of patterned paper from the collection and layered them on top of one of the stamped images from Life Noted using some foam dots so they have some dimension.
To complete my layout, I typed my journaling and printed it out using my computer and added a foil wood sticker to the bottom of my photo. I love how all of the colors just seem to pop off of my page!
