Scrapbooking on a line

One thing that I love with the Pinkfresh kits is that you can put every gorgeous little item in it on display on a page, and still stretch the kit to last for several layouts and cards!

For this page I chose a linear design, putting each type of kit item on display. Washi tape, a shiny rose gold flair, epoxy stickers and those super cute little heart sequins along with stamped hearts from that awesome stamp set! Love those hearts! The linear design went well with the photo, showing a line of sweet little dancers, led by my pretty little niece.

I tried a fun thing with one of the wood veneer circles. I inked it up and made a stamped image on plain white cardstock. My first attempt was directly on the background cardstock, but the cardstock texture prevented a clear image, so I put the wood veneer piece over it, using that failed attempt as a background shadow instead. Stamping with wood veneer went surprisingly good, so you are welcome to try it if you'd like. The wood veneer girl in this kit has the cutest little ponytail hair, just like my niece in the photo.

A frame cut from the craft die was perfect for journaling. And the rose gold alpha stickers! Oh, they are so lovely! Here's a detail pic from my layout.

Thank you for looking! Feel free to scraplift or be inspired by my page. Have fun with the May kit!

  1. Love this linear design, and how you broke up the straight lines of the design with circles, the frame, and the beautiful curvy alphas! This is a perfect layout!
